What is the difference between Product Design, UX Design, and UI Design?

Product Design covers the full process: research, experience design, visual design, and handoff. UX Design focuses on structure and flows. UI Design focuses on the visual language and component system. When you choose Product Design, you get all three handled by one team with a single source of truth.

Do we need Product Design if we already have developers?

Yes. Development without a defined design process leads to structural rework, inconsistent interfaces, and misaligned user journeys. A Product Design engagement gives your engineers clear specifications before a single line of code is written.

How long does a Product Design engagement take?

Timelines depend on product scope and complexity. A focused engagement for a core product or feature set typically runs 8 to 12 weeks. Full product design for a new digital product runs 12 to 20 weeks.

What deliverables do we receive at the end?

You receive a research report, user flow maps, wireframes, a component library, annotated screen designs, a design system, an interactive prototype, and a developer-ready Figma handoff. Every deliverable is documented and ready for your engineering team.

Can Product Design improve an existing product, or is it only for new builds?

Both. For existing products, we start with a design audit to identify what is working and what is not. We then redesign the areas with the highest user impact, rather than rebuilding everything from scratch.

How do you involve our internal team in the process?

Your product and engineering leads join key workshops at each stage. We align on direction before moving forward. You review and approve deliverables at every milestone. There are no surprises at handoff.
